Since we moved to New Haven we’ve been dying for our friends to come visit us down in New Haven. Last weekend, my childhood friends drove down from Boston to stay with us for a day and a half. I’ve known Amy since 4th grade and Nancy and Nicole since junior high. Talk about old friends huh? I love them to death and don’t know what I’d do without them. They’ve been with me through thick and thin and now we’re so fortunate to have them in Cadence’s life as well. Of course they’ve been awesome to Cadence. They spoil her with gifts and give her oodles of attention.
New Haven has excellent pizza joints, so we took them to Modern Apizza. We ordered 2 large pizzas and it was way too much food for the 5 of us. They were right, the pizza was o’delicioso! After we stuffed ourselves with as many slices of pizza as we could possibly eat, we went apple picking to walk the food off (and to get dessert). We had such a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful and the company was unbeatable.
Overall it was just a nice weekend with the girls. We got to catch up on old times and they got a chance to spend some time with Cadence. Cadence was also able to show off her new tricks. We hope they come back again soon to see us!
